Precautions:MELSERVO-J4 / J3 / JN Cable

■ Do not use in any of the following environments.

Do not use in the vicinity of dust, oil smoke, conductive dust, corrosive gas or flammable gas, at high temperatures, with condensation, in places exposed to wind and rain, or in places subject to vibrations or shocks. This may lead to electric shock, fire, malfunction, or product damage or deterioration.

■ Depending on the servo-motor and installation environment, the connector and cable may cause interference and render mounting in some pull-out directions impossible.

Select upon confirmation with the outline drawings in Mitsubishi Electric Corporation's Servo-motor Technical Documents and in the specifications for each cable.

■ Do not bundle signal cables with main circuit and power wiring or even place them in proximity.

Wire signal wires separately from the power wiring (input/output wiring) of servo amplifiers, avoiding bundling or parallel wiring.
This may cause the product to malfunction due to noise.

■ Shut off all external power supply phases of connected modules when mounting or removing.

Failing to shut off all phases may cause damage to the connected modules or cause modules to malfunction.

■ Tighten the mounting screws, terminal screws and solderless terminals to within the specified torque range.

If the mounting screws and terminal screws are loose or over-tightened, they may cause short-circuiting or malfunction.

■ Do not touch live parts while the power is ON.

This may result in electric shock, cause damage to the connected modules or cause modules to malfunction.

■ Make sure the weight of the cable is not applying stress to the cable connector.

This may cause module or cable damage or malfunction due to poor connection when the cable swings, moves or is accidentally bumped.

■ When removing, do not pull the cable by hand.

This may cause module or cable damage or malfunction due to poor cable connection.

■ Do not drop or subject to strong shocks.

This may cause damage to the cable.

■ Before touching this cable, take care to touch a grounded piece of metal, etc., in order to discharge any static electricity.

Static electricity accumulated in the body may cause module damage or failure.

■ Do not use outside of the operating temperature range.

This may cause communication errors or reduction in transmission speed. Confirm the operating temperature range with the cable specifications sheet.
contact us for information regarding cable specifications.

■ Use a high-flex life (for mobile use) cable when mounting on equipment in which the servo-motor travels.

Do not use a standard (for fixed use) cable for moving parts.
Wire disconnection may result in degraded communication / power properties. Confirm the minimum bend radius with the cable specifications sheet. contact us for information regarding cable specifications.

■ Do not use servo cables at less than the minimum bend radius.

Wire disconnection may result in degraded communication / power properties.
Confirm the minimum bend radius with the cable specifications sheet. contact us for information regarding cable specifications.

■ When disposing, process the product at an industrial waste facility.

When disposing of this product, take it to an industrial waste facility in accordance with the Waste Disposal and Cleaning Act.
