Precautions

Be sure to read before cable-laying work.

As for cable-laying route

Please use a cable rack for cable-laying route as much as possible.
In case of a conduit, select the conduit diameter, taking into account the connector dimension.
When installing a pull box in the middle of a conduit, select one to satisfy allowable bending radius of a cable.
Cable-laying route should be for the exclusive use as much as possible.
When sharing with other cables, install optical fiber cables at the end.
Cable-laying route should be free from invasion of water and oil, nor high and low temperature which is outside the appropriate ambient temperature.

In case of a conduit

For cable type AW install a cable by fixing with a cable-extending rope without pulling directly.
For type B and C, form a circle with the tip of a cable, and pull by hooking.
For a cable with connector, support connector part as well as type AW, and install a cable by fixing with a cable-extending rope. In addition, for type DL, pull by fixing a pulling eye to a central tension member.

Precautions in cable extension

The tension rate of a cable should be under 10m/min, and tip drawing to be performed.
In order to equalize tension applied on a cable, extend a cable with less than half of allowable tension.
In cable extension, bending radius should be more than twice allowable bending radius.

Protection against allowable tension

When installing a cable vertically or performing overhead wiring work, support securely so that tension by cable's own weight doesn't exceed allowable tension.

Protection for connector part

For connector part, install by protecting with a vinyl hose without bending.
This part is extremely weak against shock and tension, therefore do not pull.
